| Virginijus Sutkus was born in 1963 in
the village of Budvydziai, district of Ðiauliai. In 1986 hi graduated from the Ðiauliai Teachers College, specializing in art. Since 1987 Virginijus has been participaiting in exhibitions. In 1993 he moved to Druskininkai. Since then he has been working in school as a teacher of art. Virginijus is a member of the "3X", a group of Druskininkai artists, and so he contributes to "The Little Gallery" as well. He is innate need for observing nature and people comes out into spiritually warm painting in oils and water colours: landscape, herb-bouquets. His work conveys, longing for light, beauty, peace and goodness. |
